We are currently looking for someone with legal knowledge to join our team. This is a voluntary position but would look fantastic on your CV. If you studied law at school, or know of anybody studying law at university who may be interested please get in contact. They do not need to commit specific hours, just be able to answer occasional questions we have to the best of their ability, or help us to find the answer through other means. ABOUT US
Mission Zambia is a new charity set up to source volunteers and funds from around the world to support Mwandi, a rural village in southern Zambia. Many people living in Mwandi do not currently have safe shelter. Project Mwandi was set up by Paula and Dan Van Zyl who work tirelessly to help provide the villagers with homes.
Around 50% of the villagers in Mwandi are HIV positive.
Mwandi suffers like much of Africa from the missing middle generation due to HIV/AIDs. It is not uncommon to see grandparents or even great grandparents aged 70/80 or more looking after in excess of 10 children. Mission Zambia along with Project Mwandi and the United Church of Zambia aim to provide shelter for these children and their carers.
